Mood Lifters

We are all feeling the stress of being at home. It’s normal. But it’s also important that we continue to do the things we love so that we can continue to stay positive and energized. I’ve compiled a list of ways I’ve been able to boost my mood and stay positive during this wild and crazy ride.

exercise

Walking my sweet babies is always one of my favorite activities. It gets us out in the sunshine (sorry to all the northerners) and fresh air. During this whole quarantine my husband and I also decided to purchase the Peloton. It has been a lifesaver since we both enjoy working out, but haven’t been able to between quarantine and a new baby.

setting the table

This helps me get my creative energy out. With so much time on my hands I’ve spent countless hours searching through old magazines for design inspiration. I’ve been able to translate some of this inspiration into my own tablescapes. Plus, it makes each dinner feel a little different since the site of our kitchen is getting a little old at this point. We can at least pretend we’re in some fun, new restaurant with each new tablescape.

styling vignettes

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rearranged the decor on my tables and shelves just in normal, day-to-day life. Now with being quarantined at home for so long, I think I have rearranged the tables in my living room at least 10 times. The good news is I absolutely love changing things up. I truly believe your home should constantly change and grow with you. It should constantly change, even if it’s just through small adjustments.

reading old design magazines

I have such a huge collection of magazines that I have collected over time or subscribed to, but have not had the time to read them until now. I really enjoy sitting down and truly spending time looking at all of the images and rooms. There is SO much inspiration in printed magazines and I really hope they continue providing it through print rather just simply online.
